The Daintree Escape offers modern, private cabins set in leafy surrounds in the heart of Daintree Village.

Built amongst the natural canopy of rainforest trees, there are three tropical cabins, themed around the colours of the retreat’s lush surroundings.

The cabins are spacious, light and welcoming with white linen, wooden floors, and timber blinds to create a relaxing tropical lifestyle.

The cabin accommodation features separate main bedrooms and private bathrooms with extra bed capacity possible in adjoining lounge. The cabins are all air conditioned, fitted with fans and offer basic kitchen facilities with all crockery and utensils, tea & coffee facilities and fridge.

Private balcony’s overlooking extensive gardens is one of the delightful features of the cabins.

Cabin Options:

The Daintree Cabin features a master bedroom with private bathroom facilities. Separate lounge with fold down couch and kitchenette. Plus private balcony overlooking established tropical gardens.

The Thorton Suite features a queen bed, lounge area with fold down couch, kitchenette, large private bathroom facilities and balcony.

The Family Cabin is a spacious 2 room cabin with large bathroom and private balcony overlooking established tropical gardens. Featuring queen bed in the master room and bunk bed with double bottom bunk in the second room.

The landscaped gardens include BBQ areas with seating which provides an excellent place to relax and enjoy your meal.

It is just a short stroll from the cabins to the village. Daintree Village has two restaurants, a cafe and shop. It is also home to the Daintree River crocodile cruises.

Daintree Village is located on the Southern side of the Daintree River.

Cape Tribulation is a 1 hour drive from here. It is a 15 minute drive to Wonga Beach. Port Douglas is a 45 minute drive from Daintree Escape.

    Breakfast:
    Breakfast is available and presented in a Hamper. The tropical style breakfast includes fresh fruits, bread, muffins, cereal, juice, plunger coffee or tea.

    How to get there:

    From the Cairns Airport Daintree Escape B&B Bungalows is located approximately 1 hour & 45 minutes North or Cairns in the heart of the Daintree Village. Past Port Douglas & 35 minutes North of Mossman.

    As you enter the heart of the Daintree Village (restaurant strip) look to your left (next door to Red Mill House on the corner). Daintree Escape is 100 metres up the lane way.

    Enjoy the drive - it's stunning. 

    You may choose to stop for coffee or lunch at Palm Cove 25 minutes north of Cairns.   

    Port Douglas is also worth a stopover for lunch or a swim at the beach - There is a lookout on Flagstaff Hill. 

    Mossman Gorge is on the way to Daintree Village.  Turn left at the sign as you are driving through Mossman town.  Here you can experience the most refreshing rainforest swim, rainforest walk, or simpy to take some photos. It's a beautiful fresh water river that will make you feel entirely exhilarated.
