Note:  It is recommended to have your own transport so that you can enjoy the nearby activities.
It is recommended to bring your own food from a supermarket on the Southern side of the river as prices are higher on the Cape Tribulation side.  Alternatively there are a number of restaurants in the area.

Getting There:
From Cairns, take the Captain Cook Highway, Northbound. Follow the signs to Mossman, keep driving and you will see a road veering to the left which says " Daintree Township/ Daintree River Ferry". Follow the road for approximately 25km. At this point you will take a right turn at the sign "Daintree River Ferry/ Cape Tribulation". Follow this road to the ferry and cross the river by ferry (charges apply). Once across the ferry, turn off at Turpentine Road which is on the left about 20km over the ferry. You will pass Heritage Lodge which is on your right. You will then come to Stonewood Road which veers to the left and right. Take the road to your left and follow it until you see "Daintree Cascades" sign which marks the entrance to the property. The drive is approximately 2.5 hours in total and is all on well signed, good quality sealed roads.

Car Hire rates are very competitive in Cairns and Port Douglas. Most companies will be happy for you to drive a conventional car to Daintree Cascades as the main road is sealed to the turn off. Please ensure to provide your car hire company with details of where you intend to take the vehicle as some companies have yet to assess their Daintree River policies.
