Wait-a-While In The Daintree is situated just one hour from the internationally recognised resort town of Port Douglas, and is the ideal getaway offering seclusion and a true taste of the tropics.

The House:
The pole house is one of the largest single dwellings ever constructed in the Daintree Rainforest.  Completed in 1993 and modelled on a traditional New Guinean long-house Wait-a-While Daintree provides almost 500 square metres of living space.

Bedding configuration:
3 bedrooms downstairs consisting of 2 x king beds plus a bedroom that has 2 x king single beds plus a pull out king trundle. Upstairs on the mezzanine level there is a double bed. There are two bathrooms with baths and a third outdoor shower by the pool. The house can sleep 9 people comfortably however the price includes 6 people.

Getting There:
Head north along the Captain Cook Highway, through the township of Mossman and then take the turn off to the Daintree River Ferry which is well signposted. Wait-a-While In The Daintree is about a 30 minute drive north of the Daintree River. You cross the Alexandra Range and come into the small settlement of Cow Bay.  Take the turn off to Cow Bay Beach, which is signposted as Buchanan Creek Road. Follow this road until the
bitumen road becomes gravel. Then it is only one more kilometre - Wait-a-while is signposted on the left.
