Thanks so much to Gene for arranging this alternative, due to damage to Daintree Eco Lodge. It was faultless and the lodge itself was one of the best destinations we have ever been to.

The staff were very professional and friendly. The cabins were private and the spa in the room was excellent. Very private and relaxing. Dinner in the restaurant was expensive however and because if the lodges location one had no choice but to eat there.

We spent a week at Silky Oaks and it was fabulous!! We took advantage of the wonderful sevices that are offered as well, bike riding, tours, bush walking, and we were pampered at the spa. The meals were 5 star with three choices and three courses every night. The staff were really helpful and made our stay so memorable. The open restaurant location and ambiance was exceptional, with the rainforest and Mossman river so close. We had some rain the first few days which only added to the magic of the rainforest.

Silky Oaks is heaven on earth. We arrived with a bit of a tummy bug, and the staff bend over backwards to make us feel ok, including getting lovely soup from the kitchen for lunch when it was not on the menu. As I got sicker they phoned a Dr in Mossman and then drove us down there and waited until I was seen to and got medication. The resort is under new management and the new owners are absolutly delightful and cant do enough for their guests. The allowed us a very late checkout and transfers back to Port Douglas to make up for the time we were not feeling the best. THIS PLACE SHINES

This was heaven really loved this resort, accommodation good the most comfortable bed, and yes loved not having a TV! Every evening the meal in the Treetops restaurant was superb, the qualtiy of the food, the presentation was nothing short of excellent.
We did not want to leave. Only downside was the awful weather it rained and it rained and everywhere was flooded, this stopped us having the planned river trip, the drive up towards Cooktown, and planned trip to The Barrier Reef.

Room and venue very nice and tropical, liked swimming in the pool. Food was nice. Our first night for dinner was only let down due to poor service, hence we did not continue our other 2 nights for dinner at the restaurant but went elsewhere.

Great recommendation to stay at Silky Oaks. Swimming in the crystal waters of the Mossman River every morning all by ourselves was a great way to start the day. Follow that with a sumptuous breakfast and the day was really set!

Loved the lodge and the accommodation and staff were fantastic. Only comment food is quite expensive for size of meals and nothing light available for lunches.
Daintree and Cape Trib tour was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgable and had a great sense of humour. Enjoyed the fact that we were on private properties instead of with the masses.

Silky Oaks is a wonderful place to relax and unwind, in a beautiful setting. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good too and we felt our stay was good value for money.
