Daintree Wilderness Lodge is a small intimate lodge situated north of the Daintree River which offers visitors the real rainforest experience.

We have been awarded the “Advanced Ecotourism Accreditation” from the Ecotourism Association of Australia, which illustrates our commitment to protecting this unique rainforest habitat.
The lodge offers a Nature walk down to the creek where the flightless Cassowary Bird can often be spotted by guests. We have many other unique and endemic wildlife only found in the Wet Tropics of Australia.
The fully licensed restaurant features modern Australian cuisine prepared by James our chef of over 17 years. The outdoor swimming pool is surrounded by fan palms and a cocktail is always readily available.

Room options:
We have 7 cabins, most with only one queen sized bed. There are 3 cabins which feature an additional single bed, for those seeking twin share or for 3 adults. Guests have described their stay as “unique and special” which is what we hope to achieve for every guest.

Getting there:
From Cairns head North. Drive through Mossman Town . Follow the sign to the right to cross the Daintree River, along Cape Tribulation Road. Drive down through the mountains until you reach Cow Bay. On your right you will see Alexandra Primary School. We are approximately 1.5km past the school on the right. Look out for the large patch of lawn. This is us. Drive through the driveway into the rainforest.
