Bounded by Cooper Creek and adjoining Cape Tribulation National Park, the Daintree Heritage is located at the base of the majestic Thornton Peak with the famous Alexandra Falls only a three-hour challenging hike from the Lodge. This rock-hopping hike to the 150m cascades that can be seen from Heritage Lodge is not for the faint hearted but highly recommended. Packed lunches available.
Activities from the lodge include exploring the many rock pools of Cooper Creek. You can spot wildlife on the spectacular private rainforest tracks or simply enjoy the surroundings poolside.
Natural Therapies Day Spa: Specialises in unique treatments for guests needing rejuvenation. Let them nourish your mind & body and bring you back to nature. All products used are Organic or biodynamic if possible and are Pure Australian. The spa offers a wide range of massages.

Your rate includes: Continental breakfast is served daily from 7.30am - 9am featuring fresh fruit, cereals, milk, toast, home-made jams, butter, tea and coffee and juices.
Children stay and eat FREE! Families can be accommodated with a maximum of up to 3 children (4-13 years) in the family cabin. Children can order from the childrens menu and dine free when dining with 2 adults. Cots are provided free of charge.

Restaurant: The Mediterranean restaurant and bar extends above the creek overlooking the magnificent rock pools of Cooper Creek below. Tantalise your tastebuds with quality local ingredients in a dense rainforest atmosphere. If you are lucky, extra guests may also visit you at night, such as bandicoots and musky rat kangaroos.
If you prefer to prepare your own dinner, a beautiful BBQ area has just been installed which is undercover and has seating.
Getting there: Due to the remote location we suggest hiring a car when you arrive at the Cairns Airport. The Heritage Lodge is located a leisurely 2 hour drive north of Cairns airport taking into account a stop at the lookouts along the way. If you plan on taking your time pop into Palm Cove or Trinity Beach for a coffee. We do have some lovely little beachfront cafe's here. The scenic drive from Cairns to Port Douglas has been described as one of the most beautiful coastlines in Australia so take your time.
Port Douglas is about 1 hour north of Cairns and is also a lovely spot for a look around or lunch.
Mossman township is about 20 minutes further north and is home to the famous Mossman Gorge. If you would like to feel revitalised jump into this beautiful swimming river with superb rainforest water and rainforest surrounds. There is also a very good walking track that takes about an hour through diverse rainforest in World Heritage listed Daintree National Park. Or, just stop for a look and a photo opportunity.
Cross the river by river ferry and 18km north of the ferry is the Heritage Lodge bordering Cooper Creek. Thornton Beach is the closest beach and is a 5 min drive north.
PLEASE NOTE: Staying in the Daintree World Heritage National Park area is an excellent way to experience the Rainforest. There is no mains power in this part of Australia. All resorts create their own power and this is the reason many properties do not have air conditioning, televisions, tea/coffee making facilities and mini bars. This property has all facilities for a comfortable stay.
