Day One - Get High Osprey Outer Reef Cruise

Osprey V takes you to two reef locations on the Great Barrier Reef. It is a large, modern sleek vessel cruising at high speed providing a superior and comfortable ride in all weather conditions.

Professional, friendly and attentive staff onboard Osprey, ensures a safe and enjoyable fun-filled experience, with guided snorkelling tours, all snorkelling equipment and tuition, semi submersible submarine tours as well as a BBQ Lunch which includes a selection of fish, steak, sausages, vegetarian, tropical salads and pastas.

Reefs visited are, Norman, Saxon, Hastings and Michaelmas Reef and are chosen by the skipper on the day of travel to ensure the best protection and underwater visibility according to prevailing weather conditions.

This vessel caters to nervous, first time Snorkellers, Introductory Divers as well as the more experienced Certified Diver.

The semi submersible tours allow you to view the spectacular coral formations and the masses of brilliantly coloured fish without getting wet. A full reef commentary and fish feeding is provided, along with the specially designed scenic reef excursion. The semi sub travels below the water level to enable you a diver's view of the best parts of the Great Barrier Reef.

To experience the reef from a different perspective, why not take a Helicopter flight over Hastings Reef ! This is available from the Outer Reef Heli pad on the day, due to limited seats please pre book your flight.

After completing your day on the Great Barrier Reef, kick back and relax on deck as the gang entertain you on the trip home, with music, fun and laughter as well as being served a complimentary glass of wine and cheese, fruit platter!

Check in at the Reef Fleet Terminal at 7:30am, commence boarding at 8:00am, vessel departs Cairns at 8:30am. This trip returns to Cairns at 5:00pm.

Please Note: A history of asthma, heart, ear and other medical conditions may preclude a passenger from diving. 18 hours surface interval is recommended before flying.

Day Two - Get Active Overnight Cape Tribulation

Experience an overnight adventure staying in the oldest rainforest in the world. Take time to explore the rainforest, rivers and beaches of the Daintree and Cape Tribulation with the Adventure Company and enjoy unique rainforest accommodation.

Enjoy a brief tour of Port Douglas and Four Mile Beach before travelling onto the award winning Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary where you will observe up close rare & endangered Australia animals. There is also the opportunity to have your photo taken with a koala and pat a kangaroo.

The journey continues along the Captain Cook Highway to the majestic Daintree River where you will cross over the Daintree River on the cable ferry and enjoy breathtaking views of the rainforest coastline and scenic lookouts.

Lunch is at the Cape Trib Beach House Restaurant. Choose from the set menu of Fish, Steak or Vegetarian dishes cooked to your taste and served with a fresh garden salad, chips and home style baked bread along with a tropical fruit platter to finish.

Following lunch choose from one of 3 activities below:-

Jungle Surfing
Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours is a must-do, new and exciting way to view the World Heritage Listed Rainforest in Cape Tribulation. Canopy surfing takes place up in the treetops, with five platforms linked by steel flying fox runs. The longest span is over 75m and the platforms vary in height from 2.5 - 19.5m above the ground. Each participant is attached by full body harness to the flying fox cables. At the highest point you fly over 22m above Mason Creek, and the flight choice is yours - slow, fast or upsidedown.

Cape Trib Horseriding
This is the only beach ride in Cape Tribulation. Cape Tribulation Horse Rides offers two rides per day through rainforest and open paddock trails. The ride leaves the yard and heads through the rainforest to Myall Beach, where you will ride along the beach and have the opportunity to have photos taken with your horse (please supply own camera). 

Sunset Kayaking
Escape the heat of the day for a 2.5hr paddle in Cape Tribulation Bay. Enjoy the solitude, because at this time of day all the tour groups have left, and you will get the whole place to yourself. Watch the sky light up as the sun sets behind Mt.Sorrow. Some days you can even watch a cassowary walk along the beach.

Accommodation
Cape Trib Beach House is for those after a beach holiday. The property is located right on the beach, 'where the rainforest meets the reef'. Choose from Dorm Share, Budget Double (fan with shared bathroom) and Escape Double (Air-conditioned and ensuite).

At lunch time the following day you will be collected from your accommodation to continue on the adventure. You will travel to Cape Trib beach for a walk to the headland that provides magnificent views of where the 'rainforest literally meets the reef'.

Deep into the national park is The Marrdja Botanical boardwalk , one of the specially constructed rainforest and mangrove walks. Your guide will enlighten you to the secrets of the rainforest; learn about its foods, medicines and history during your guided walk.

Arriving back at the Daintree River enjoy a 1 hour river cruise. Learn about the mangroves that line the banks, and spot crocodiles, birds and other wildlife that inhabit the area. Following this you will have the opportunity to take in the spectacular views from the Rex Lookout on your journey home, before returning to your accommodation.
