Departure time from Cairns is about 7am.

Cross the Daintree River by ferry and make way to the Alexandra Range Lookout for a bird's eye photo opportunity of the stunning coastline.

Enjoy the guided walk through the rainforest at Mardja Boardwalk before being dropped off at your accommodation of choice.

Accommodation Options:

PK's Jungle Village is located right on the beach at Cape Tribulation. This backpacker style resort has a restaurant with budget meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a bar that is open all day and every night. The village has cooking facilities, guest laundry, internet and a pool. All rooms are air-conditioned.

There are free activities here including Pilates, Salsa Dancing and beach volley ball, as well as several optional tours. The accommodation is dormitory style. Upgrades to cabins are available.

Cape Trib Beach House is situated on Cape Tribulation Beach. The resort is made up of dorm style timber cabins tucked in the rainforest. It has a restaurant, bar, pool, email facilities, self-cook kitchen and laundry. The accommodation is dormitory style. Upgrades to cabins are available.

Ferntree Lodge is set back in the heart of lush rainforest, guests are a short stroll from the beach and spectacular mangrove boardwalks. Ferntree Rainforest Lodge features low, pitched buildings that are set harmoniously within a dense, green landscape. Accommodation is in 4 bed dorms or budget doubles both with ensuite and air conditioning. 

Dinner is not included in this package but all of the accommodation properties have restaurants that serve meals.

Return Journey:

Your departure from Cape Tribulation is at approx 12pm.

You will head south to the Daintree River Cruise Centre for a wild life cruise on the river, looking for animals including the elusive Saltwater Crocodile. Following the cruise, the tour will stop off at Mossman Gorge for either a walk through the rainforest or a swim in the clear mountain waters. A stop over in Port Douglas offers passengers about 30 minutes to explore the boutique seaside village before returning to Cairns. The final stop is at the Rex Lookout for your last scenic snapshots of the day.

The tour returns to Cairns at approx 6pm.

This tour includes all Cairns accommodation, Beaches accommodation and Port Douglas accommodation pickups. 

If you have time an exciting and very popular activity to do from Cairns is to stay for 2 nights at Cape Tribulation and take a daytrip to the Great Barrier Reef from this world heritage area.
