Cape Trib Horse Rides are the only horse riding available in the Cape Tribulation and Daintree area where they cater for beginners, intermediate and experienced rides on a group of very friendly and well trained horses.
Operating two rides per day, transfers are included between Cow Bay and Cape Tribulation a 8:00am and 1:30pm.
You will be collected from your resort reception and taken to the stables, where you will be given a horse to suit your riding ability and brief instructions for the ride.
Enjoy the breathtaking Cape Tribulation scenery as you meander your way through the oldest living rainforest in the world, ride through many crystal clear mountain streams, through cane paddocks and along crocodile inhabited riverbeds until you reach the spectacular Cape Tribulation Beach.
There are only very limited places in the world where you can stroll along the beach on horseback, soaking up the atmosphere of the wild and pristine beaches of Cape Tribulation.
There are ample opportunities to have photos taken with your horse so don't forget to bring your camera!
On the way back towards the forest, you will stop at a beautiful fresh water swimming hole for a pleasant dip and refreshments and then on to the stables via a rainforest track. (Please note during poor weather conditions, refreshments will be served at the stables after the ride has finished).
There are opportunities for experienced riders only to trot and canter the horses. Spectacular scenery and the thrill of horse riding make this a especially enjoyable activity. The Ride, including the transfers, lasts for approximately 3.5 hours.
Please Note:
Maximum of 12 people per ride.
Due to insurance requirements the minimum age for this horse riding tour is 13 years.
No experience is necessary as there are horses suitable for all grades of riders. Guides can give you help along the way if you are a beginner so don’t be afraid to ask.
Maximum weight is 102 kilograms or 16 stone.
Rides go rain or shine.
***Please be advised that due to the heat of the summer, from 1 January until 31 March 2010, there will only be one horse ride per day. The morning ride will remain the same with pick ups being 8:00am.
