Join Paddletrek Sea Kayaking tours is the most exciting way to see Cape Tribulation and the Daintree coast.

Paddle out into the Great Barrier Reef marine park from where you have spectacular views of the Daintree National Park, the oldest rainforest on Earth.  The ultimate way to explore tropical beaches, fringing reef, mangroves and Marine wildlife.

Every day is different but wild life frequently spotted on the tours include sea turtles, schools of fish, sea eagles, dolphins, dugong, sting rays and the occasional whale passing during migration season (July and August).

Never been sea kayaking before? The friendly guides will give you full instructions before you set off. There is sturdy double and single sit-on- top kayaks available.

  • Morning Tour:  Departs at 08:30am for a 3.5hr adventure
  • Afternoon Paddle:  Departs at 3:30pm for a 2.5hr exploration of Cape Tribulation Bay

Morning Adventure Trek:

  • Take to the waters of Cape Tribulation Bay.  Board a sturdy single or double, sit-on-top kayak and explore the unique environment where the rainforest meets the reef.  Your experienced local guide will lead you around the magnificent Cape Trib headland while looking out for marine wildlife. You will land on Myall Beach for a rest, relax and morning tea of tropical fruit juice and homemade cake.  On the way back to Cape Trib beach explore the fringing coral reefs, taking in the stunning views of the coastal mountain ranges.

Afternoon Paddle the Bay:

  • Escape the heat of the day and have a leisurely paddle through Cape Tribulation bay in the afternoon.  Explore fringing reefs, spot marine wild life.  Enjoy the stunning views of the Daintree Rainforest and watch the sky light up as the sun starts to set behind Mt Sorrow.


Cape Tribulation is 2.5 hours drive north of Cairns and 1.5 hours drive north of Port Douglas.
