The 'Crocodylus Eco Adventure' provides adventurers with an authentic experience of the Daintree Rainforest with both the accommodation and activities truly immersing guests in the depths of the jungle, ensuring you will leave with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of this World Heritage natural wonder.

Designed to maximise your eco pleasure without compromising your comfort all the accommodation is nestled deep within Crocodylus’ own 21 acres of rainforest.  The wooden and canvas bungalows are built safari tent style with canvas walls, high ceilings to catch the natural breezes, insect protection to ensure the locals are kept out, and large open spaces to give you room to move.  Each cabin has its own shower and separate toilet, a double bed and an outdoor table and chairs for the private veranda. 

Lodge Facilities:  

Kingfisher Cafe:  Open for breakfast and dinner daily with good value fresh and tasty tropical fare to tantalise your taste buds.

Gecko Bar:  Fully licensed with plenty of exotic cocktails and local brews to keep you well watered and your thirst at bay.

Self-Catering Kitchen:  Everything you need to prepare all your own meals.  Crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, fridges, gas cooker, BBQ etc;

General Store:  with a small range of groceries, fruit and veggies, toiletries and IT needs just in case you forgot something.  There is also a general store 10mins drive north.

Day One:  Pick up your hire car and drive along the beautiful coast road from Cairns to Cow Bay (approx 2.5hrs).  Stop along the way to:
o         Marvel at the amazing sights
o         Lunch in luxury at Port Douglas
o         Swim amongst the rainforest at Mossman Gorge

Note:  This package does not include transfers to and from Cape Tribulation.  We suggest you hire a car but can also arrange coach transfers for an additional cost.  

Check into Daintree Crocodylus Village
Explore the World Heritage wilderness on your journey up to Daintree Crocodylus Village.   

Evening:   Enjoy a 3 hour torch lit walk through this extraordinary, unique environment at night.  Meet amazing wildlife and learn about the nocturnal habits of rainforest flora and fauna.
Wear long pants and covered shoes.

Day Two:  Arise to the sounds of the rainforest and take our onsite 2.5km Orange Rope Walk enjoying the rainforest in the early morning as the forest awakens to a new day returning approximately 1hr later.  

Depart Crocodylus at 11.00am to drive up to Thornton Beach for a one hour crocodile and mangrove cruise along spectacular Coopers Creek.  Search for Crocodiles and marvel at the pristine mangrove ecosystem.

We suggest you explore the Daintree Coast up to Cape Tribulation.  There is plenty to see and do along the way:
o         Rainforest Trails
o         Tropical Beaches
o         Exotic Fruit Tasting
o         Daintree Eco Centre
o         Daintree Ice-cream Factory
o         Daintree Insect Museum
o         Jungle Surfing
o         Horse Riding
o         Water Hole Swimming

Enjoy nightly entertainment at Crocodylus.

Day Three:    

Morning - Arise early (6.15am) for your Sunrise Paddle Trek along the exquisite Daintree coastline,  eating your tropical breakfast and morning tea surrounded by sparkling waters and white sandy beaches, filling in your time searching for turtles, dolphins, dugongs and maybe even a whale!

Free time to explore or relax. 

Day Four:   

Morning - Wake up one more time to the gentle sounds of the rainforest for a lazy breakfast amongst the trees before leaving this ancient world behind.

PLEASE NOTE:  The Crocodylus Eco Safari does not include airport transfers or beverages.  You can start this package any day of the week subject to availability.  We highly recommend hiring a car however we can also arrange coach transfers.

Location:  Daintree Crocodylus Village is located approximately 140 km north of Cairns (2.5 hours drive). Buchanan Creek Road is on the right as you down into Cow Bay on the other side of the Alexander Range from the Daintree Ferry.   Daintree Crocodylus is on the left about 2kms up the road.  Crocodylus Village is located about 3kms from Cow Bay Beach.

Note:  A cash payment is required for self-drive guests to use the Daintree River Ferry (approx $23.00 return).
The resort has a self catering kitchen where you can prepare meals and store food.  Children 3 years and over can participate in this package. 

Clothing:  Casual, lightweight clothing.  The region is blessed with warm weather most of the year so a swimsuit, sunscreen and hat are mandatory. Pack comfortable shoes for walking and a light sweater for evening.
