Bruce Belcher River Cruise

Updated: 03-May-2007

As a tour guide on the Daintree River since 1987, Bruce has fashioned a one-hour river tour from his home, which is adjacent to the Daintree River.

Departing from the private jetty in the Marine Park, Bruce offers wildlife observations, particularly crocodile spotting, up close and personal. He also provides good quality binoculars to view these amazing creatures.

Crocs are spotted on 98% of trips (particulary in cooler months). All of Bruce's guides are Queenslanders. They are enthusiastic, accurate, honest and informative. They are all keen birdwatchers and have a good eye for crocodiles and tree snakes.

The commentary centres on natural history, particularly the mangrove eco system.

The boats are environmentally friendly and covered with shallow drafts. There are no loud speakers.

Group bookings and private charters are available, and complimentary refreshments are served 15 minutes before departure.

Cruise Departures: 8.15am 9.30am 11.00am 12.00pm 1.30pm 2.30pm 3.30pm 4.00pm

This tour departs from the Daintree Village area, and is self drive only
