Daintree Valley Haven Info

Daintree Valley Haven is a tranquil, secluded tropical retreat located in the heart of the Daintree Valley.

The property comprises of three self-contained, air-conditioned B&B rainforest bungalows on a lovely secluded 30-acre property near the Daintree National Park.

Each of the three self-contained, air-conditioned bed and breakfast bungalows is set in a private location with it's verandah offering a pleasant view over the rain-fed dam, colourful gardens and rainforest trees.

Peace and tranquility with no passing traffic, television or telephones (the closest mobile coverage is 10 minutes away in Daintree Village). Guests awaken to birdsong and drift off to sleep to the gentle sounds of the forest.

Designed for couples, each has a queen-size bed and convertible sofa for one extra person, ensuite with shower, cooking facilities include a microwave, cooktop, fridge, dining table, comfortable lounge area and all linen. Each bungalow has a small CD player and several CD's of quiet music.

Your daily breakfast basket contains tropical fruits, juice, cereals, home-made marmalade and locally-grown coffee and tea. There are barbeque-packs and vegetarian pasta meals for guests to purchase and prepare themselves; also reasonably-priced beer, wines and soft drinks.

Daintree Valley Haven is situated in a peaceful valley but not far from the Daintree Village, Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge and Port Douglas.

The 30 acre property has a variety of vegetation - many mature tropical fruit trees, deep gulleys of virgin rainforest trees and plants, a large natural wetlands dam, and colourful tropical gardens which attract our beautiful birds and butterflies. There are easy walking tracks throughout the property.

There is a big old open-sided shed which contains the barbeque area and Jacuzzi spa. There are wildlife books and CDs, bird log and binoculars; board games and a dart-board. The shed has a history of it's own as it was constructed using timber from the old butter factory which existed in Daintree Village in the days when there was a local dairy industry.

8km beyond Daintree Village, at the end of the winding, scenic Stewart Creek Valley trail you will find a peaceful retreat with an abundance of Daintree birds (well over 100 species have so far been identified) and butterflies, tropical fruits, colourful gardens, rainforest and easy walking tracks - and incredible star-gazing on clear nights!

Daintree Valley Haven is a perfect honeymoon retreat or quiet hideaway for couples - there are no facilities for children under 12.
